MommyJuice Wine Review

Hello Dolls!

When I first heard the name MommyJuice I was very intrigued and just loved the name!  I knew I had to try it!  MommyJuice Wines was so kind to send me their delicious red and white wine to try and review.

Being a mom is a constant juggling act.  MommyJuice is a an adorable gift for any hostess, friend or family member who is a mother.  It’s owned and made by a mom.  MommyJuice Wines are from the California Central Coast and come in Red Wine (77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 3% Malbec, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot) and White Wine (100% Chardonnay from Monterey County in California).

MommyJuice White Wine:
Aromas of tropical fruit salad-pineapples, guava and bananas.  Hints of lemon grass and citrus rind as well.  Kiwi, lime and a hit of grassiness round out this very fruit forward Chardonnay.  Drop the kids at a sitter and drink on a picnic with your siginificant other or at GNO (Girl's Night Out).
Blend: 100% Chardonnay

MommyJuice Red Wine:

Aromas of bright berry fruits.  Plums, tobacco and a subtle floral note. Full and rich flavors of blueberries, blackberries and dried cherries.  Dried plums and a little anise spice round off the wonderfully smooth finish.  Moderate tannins make this a wonderful wine to drink while the kids are sleeping.

Blend: 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc
3% Grenache, 2% Syrah, 2% Zinfandel, 1% Carignan, 0.5% Cinsaut, 0.5% Malbec

MommyJuice Wines was founded by Cheryl Durzy, a mom of 2 and 10+ year 

veteran of the wine industry in Sales and Marketing at Clos LaChance Wines. These wines were inspired by her young children that point to wine glasses everywhere claiming “That’s Mommy’s Juice!” Her vision includes balanced, fruit-forward wines that bring just a bit of peace after the chaos of everyday life as a parent.

In her day-job, Cheryl is responsible for Clos LaChance’s sales throughout all channels, including wholesale, wine club, tasting room and the Internet. In addition, Cheryl manages marketing for the brand and the other business units. She sits on several industry boards, including the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association and Free the Grapes. In December 2008, Cheryl took and passed with Merit the Advanced Certificate level of the Wine and Spirits Education Trust.

Outside of the kids, work, cooking and a bit of exercise when she can, she doesn’t have much time to do anything else.

Overall I think Mommy Juice Wine is great!  It is suitable for drinking, and would be a nice gift for a special someone. I would defiantly buy both the White, and Red Wine in the future.
